Yemeni Antiques

 This antique is called the Jambiya. It is the Arabic term for dagger, it is a type of dagger with a short curved blade that is worn on a belt. Although the term jambiya is also used in other Arab countries, it is mostly associated with people of Yemen. Men typically above the age of 14 wear it as an accessory to their clothing. It comes with a belt and a "home" for the dagger, all in one price! This particular Jambiya is covered with a green plastic fiber which gives it a smooth touch and an elegant look. It is also associated it with the Hashid tribe in Yemen.
